I am posting some great sources of good information not the usual garbage usually seen when you go looking for information on the Qu'ran and the Hadiths to accomapy it and the things you are searching for.
As any one knows accurate information is vital to learning about Islam for every one who would learn about this faith system and the people who follow it around the world.
Many come here to learn and that is of course the purpose of this, and the other sites that I and others run....to learn.

TAWODI!! Where have you been??!!??
Well ya see it's like this.....I got kinda discouraged back through the summer i had some health issues and conflicts with some of the members of The People of Abraham. I was limited in what and how much i could do or contribute because of those health issues and absolutely could NOT get anybody to post articles or help in any way.....What to do??
So I kinda took a vacation. Once before I closed the blog in frustration, but deceded this time I would leave it open and if the sprirt moved write something here.
Nothing moved, never mind the spirit!!
O.K. I watched others who should have known better tear into each other in cross religious disputes...disquieting indeed. Then watched them gut each other like a fish!! What are you doing people!!??
I yelled and screamed ....was ignored....cajoled and gently maneuvered...was stomped!! O.K. when it's time for a holiday...take a holiday!!
Well things have quieted down somewhat those in conflict seem to have left and those who remained in the back ground?? Well, I guess I'll see if they are still around!
So I will write something pretty quickly, probably this, or next week, and we'll see where it goes from here. By the By anyone who wishes can write here, there are after all eleven listed contributors you know....you didn't?? Well, maybe that's because they've never contributed anything!
Mayhap that will change....maybe only to chew me out for bringing it out into the open this way!
We shall see what we shall see!!

WHY WE MUST WORK TOGETHER, THE PEOPLE OF ABRAHAM
Over a year ago a good friend of mine Rev. Bruce of Tawodi’s Hawk Nest and I came together to discuss what Muslims, Christians, and Jews can do together to bring about peace within and outside our communities. We were compelled to come together on those things we agree rather than the things we disagree. What we found out and which should be obvious, is that we agree on more things than we disagree. One principle agreement was that all of our respective religions look to Abraham (as) as the father of our religions. As such, if we have a central origin while our paths may vary and disperse in many different directions, if we go backward toward the beginning we find that we all started together. So why not come together in peace?
The Qur’an states:
41:34 But since good and evil cannot be equal, repel evil with something that is better (41,31)and lo! between whom thyself was enmity may then become as though he had always been close unto thee a true friend!
Basically, as Muslims we are told that if we strive toward good and shun evil even those who we disagree with or are our enemies may become close friends.
So what is the People of Abraham about?
The purpose is to capture the spirit of that Qur’anic verse. If we can come together in peace using our shared origin we can come together in peace and produce good works together.
We are not saying anyone is right or wrong in matters of theology. We are not trying to create a new religion. In fact, we are not even trying to discuss dogma only in the context of how we each use our own beliefs as a catalyst in peace.
We are realists. We understand that once you strip away our differences what is left are people who desire peace, freedom, and justice. We want our children to grow up in secure environments, we want to be safe, and we want to live in a better world.
Why not come together with those of similar wants and needs? If Peace is the ideal, then that means we should be able to respectfully disagree without being disagreeable. We should be able to live amongst and with one another in respect. We should be able to understand that no child deserves to grow up in a world were their peace and security in rests on what their religion is.
If we are all the creation and children of God, then that means we all have value. Abraham (as) was the friend of God and as his children, we should be friends with one another in our combined and shared desire to emulate that example.
We have to realize that peace is better than war, that good is better than evil, and that the peacemakers are the children of God.
We need to work together not just for our sake but the sake of future generations.
Either we come together, or we perish apart.

The Beginning of Resolving a Conflict
I am with this post trying to clear up two great misconceptions between the world of Islam and Judaism and Christianity.
The devide has existed for hundreds of years and with the presentation of the first accounts of Ismael in the Old Testament, or the Torah, you will see that this story is far older than the formation of Islam.
And when Sara had seen the son of Hagar the Egyptian playing with Isaac her son, she said to Abraham:

Ge 21:17 And God heard the voice of the boy: and an angel of God called to Hagar from heaven, saying: What art thou doing, Hagar? fear not: for God hath heard the voice of the boy, from the place wherein he is.

Ge 21:19 And God opened her eyes: and she saw a well of water, and went and filled the bottle, and gave the boy to drink.

Ge 21:21 And he dwelt in the wilderness of Pharan, and his mother took a wife for him out of the land of Egypt.

As you can see the Masoretic texts are represented here and show that niether God, nor Abraham, discarded, or “threw away” Ishmael. The mighty that is God, while maintaining His covenant with Abraham made sure, that even in his iniquity, (Abraham) this was not used as punishment for the child, who was innocent. All merciful God provided for him and produced another great nation of him (Ishmael)
There, you now have the Biblical account, we will now go to the exigitical basis for the names of God, or Allah, as can be proved by diligent study of facts on the ground so to speak. Instead of speculation of a faith you don’t understand, or have never studied, as to do so you have been told, will corrupt your understandings of your own faith. If such is possible, how deep was your faith??
Once again the question has been raised as to the name of God, in relation to Islam and Christianity and Judaism.
Once again it is Christian fundamentalists, and others, who make spurious accusations about the word Allah. Here for all of you is the truth where the name comes from, who the father of Islam is and, what the name, Allah, means and why it means it. There are not ninty nine “names for God In the religion of Islam. There is one name and, one name only. The rest, that many would have you believe are names, are nothing more than descriptions of attributes, just the same as Jews and Christians have over thirty five such descriptions of the attributes of God.
I have engaged in this battle for years and when it is put down in one location once more, it pops up again in another location. Apparently these people think, like Geoseph Geobbels of W.W. 2, if you repeat a lie long enough, loud enough, it will become the truth. this is not so!! A lie, is a lie, no matter how many times you repeat it!! Receive the truth!
I get so tired of stating the truth of things, only to have the very same people come back and speak the same lie, all over again.
TRUE STATEMENT;
The Hebrew EL, was also the Cannaanite EL, or transcendant Chief God. The word is the root of thirty five Attributes of God linguistically for Jews and Christians alike.
ILLAH……pronounced ILL “Yach” ( “ach,” gutteral, glottal stop, implied by “ah” in the semitic languages.) Shortened to AL (prefix word -the-) apposed (attached) to Illah to make the compound word,ALLAH. Phonetic pronunciation Al- ach or The God Taken to mean, litterally, the ONE God of Ishmael, Older brother of Issach, by fourteen years, who, the Bible tells us, that God was with as he grew, to be the father of his own people, to whom would be descended twelve more tribes of people.
Their father???? Abraham !! The Father of the two semitic tribes, Hebrews and Arabs.
Read your Bible people!!!! The Arabs didn’t make this up. We did!!!!!

These Verses come after the discription of Abraham’s children by Keturah, their names and the dispersal of Abraham’s estate to Issach only, as the child of the covenant between Abraham and God born of Sarah, as God promised. Now for the life of me, I fail to see how you can blame Muhammad for what is in Our own Bible!!! If you figure out how he did that, maybe you can tell the rest of us!!!

It is very important that you understand that I am a DEVOUT Christian Minister of many years service. The people of Islam have a different understanding of their worship of God. Is it necessary for me to accept it?? No, it is necessary for me to accept that they do. Nothing more is required of a Christian or Jew, other than that. Respect the fact that these things are what they believe and, leave it alone!!! You arenot required, to convert them, attack them, or abuse them for their faith, because you don’t agree with it. Jesus tells us, state your case and walk away, be as harmless as doves. Why as Christians, must we always forget those admonishments, that we were given by the Lord Jesus Christ, whom we profess to follow?? Keep your heart at peace and walk your own path to God, as others walk theirs, you are but human beings, you are NOT to judge, it is written……..
